About Aileen
When asked to name her most meaningful triumph to date, Aileen Craig replies 'Winning the Grand Prix at the Highland Show'.
The reasons why may be obvious; it was in front of a massive home crowd in Scotland, because her horse Vogue tried so hard, because it was the largest sum of money she had ever won in one go and lastly because she was the first Scottish person to have won it in a very long time.
Now, you could be forgiven in assuming, on account of the above reasons, the choice for Aileen had been simple, but when we take into account this young lady's huge list of outstanding wins, perhaps we may change our minds.
Suffice to say here that Aileen has been ranked in the top three riders in Scotland for over 9 years, being number one on three occasions, as well as reaching 30th in the UK rankings (5th lady rider).
